74 Corvette Matching Numbers! - $12500 (edison NJ)

1974 Corvette Coupe Matching #s 350 V8 Black on Black

I have had this car for about eight year and used it as a head turner/weekend cruiser. It runs beautifully on its original drive train and has not missed a beat. The car is matching numbers but code incorrect as the previous owner had it painted a beautiful deep black. I had the interior changed to black as the Saddle/White on black was just too loud.

The Rear bumper paint shows some aging in the form of paint cracks around one of the lights (See Picture) but the bumper its self is sound, this is a common problem with these bumper. The front bumper I would replace as it shows some large cracks in the rubber, these are not visible as they are on the bottom portion. The left fender has a small stress crack (see Picture) this was always then and has not got works since I have had the car! The right fender has some fiber chipped off it, and easy repair! I will also provide with the car some black paint and thinners that can be used to redo the bumpers.

The Seats are not from a 74, I replaced them with 79-81 seats and they offer much greater support and still look like new. I installed some industrial kick pads on the back of the seats (my kids would climb in the back when they were little).

The car rides on some perfect looking Cragar Pro Street rims, one of the Caps is missing but these can be sourced. The tires are all good with P254/60 on the rear and P235/60 on the front. These look great but again for you corvette enthusiasts they are not correct for the period. The Cragar rims alone would set you back there to four thousand if you could find them these days.

The car had 105K miles on it when the Original engine was rebuilt in 98, It now has 108K. The AC is currently not working and it could just be a wiring issue or low on refrigerate, I have not really had a chance to investigate as I have been busy with another project mentioned later.

There is some bubbling on the T-Tops and on the top of the left side of the hood, this was caused when I covered the car for the winter under two tarps. As you can see from the pictures these dont take away from the street appeal of the car. I also have new T-Top covers that will go with the car (Black)

Every thing works (Pop up lights, gauges etc) and it drives solid and smooth!

The car has an aftermarket JVC 10 disk remote CD Changer and sub woofer in the back compartment. NOTE: This is NOT bolted in so can be removed in 10 seconds for shows etc.

If you want a car that you can drive everyday and show off at the weekends and does not depriciate (#s Matching) then this is it. I am only the third owner of the vehicle and in my knowledge the car has never been in an accident.

I have two Vettes for sale/auction and the other one has taken most of my time, please take a look its a 63 #s Matching FRESH RESTORE! Family expansion forces the sale of both these iconic Corvettes
