My 383 stroker came with stock chrome valve covers which I really didn't care for. With the Dart Pro 1 Aluminum heads, it was very hard to find valve covers that would fit as the rails or seating area on the heads are very tall. I have a 9" brake booster that was just touching the 2 1/2" tall valve covers so finding a replacement set was not easy. So I finally found a cheap set of aluminum finned covers and did some hacking at the left rear to clear the booster. Posting before and after pics. What do you think?
Ken, Nice valve covers. Now the question is where did you do the hacking because I was looking all over and can't see anything. What did you do grind a little off the fins under the booster?

Fred,
I must have did a great job since you can't see it! I took about 1" in length of the fin at the booster completely off. Also had to take down a little of the corner rounded area. Used my die grinder to remove the material.
Ken, Just curious. Is your booster equivalent in size to a stock '67 Corvette Booster? I see you changed over to the newer '67 style duel master cylinder. I like the finish on your booster. The one on my '67 is painted a gold color and I don't know if that is how it was suppose to be or not. I never really checked into it and I for sure don't remember what they were like back in the day being my first '67 Vert was only 3 years old when I purchased it in 1970.

Fred,
Ordered the master and booster (Delco) from Full Throttle Corvette. The master fits 67-76. The booster fits 64-67. Booster was $145, master was $59.
