Hope we don't lose you refugee's. Its tuff getting people over to this forum to make something out of it. Its like pulling teeth at times. If you go through the list of members here you will see plenty who joined in the beginning last October and could not wait for this forum to grow. They expected it to happen over night and most of us know that is impossible. Many haven't been back since. I would think anyone coming to this forum will see that there isn't any pressure put on anyone here. You basically can speak your mind without having one of those  wacko Moderators like you see at some of the other Corvette forums breathing over your shoulders as to what you write. I am the only Mod on this forum and pretty much everything goes by me. It would take a lot for me to ban someone here. You would pretty much have to go after another member here for no reason to be banned or even placed in time out for awhile and it hasn't happened yet. Think about it what forum out there runs as smooth as this one where everyone gets along well? biggrin

I can only imagine how frustrating it is to start a forum when there are several other options.A click usually forms of members who keep a core going .I don't have the answer but I will stay .As far as the Valley I have no Idea if it will continue another year .If it should close you'll probably pick up a pretty good core of people .

A side note on Speedie ,her last name is Anderson .Like Pam Anderson .enough said smile

Hi guys...

Thanks for lookin' out for me.

VetteBoy was pretty much on the mark. Life has been a lot on the stressful side for the past few months. Without going into too much detail (for fear of boring you to the brink of insanity...):  Still riding the emotional roller coaster that began after my Mom died. Yeah, I have two jobs, one of which is sucking the life out of me (but I'm grateful to be employed)...I only have one husband, and one son...but there are days when it feels like 4/12....and tomorrow, another court battle with the ex begins. God, give me strength.

I have no plans to leave this forum. I enjoy it here. I'll hang out more....but be forewarned....my poor lil' brain is fried, and there will be days when you wish I was gone.

BTW.....VetteBoy: Pam Anderson?????? lmao.gif  Thanks, sweetie.

I hope all is well with everyone.

Regards,
Susan

Sorry about that Pete,  my son in law is going through the samething.
I told the daughter not to treat him like a azzohole but she didn't listen.

She just like her mom.........only worse.
She wants all  the money, the boat, both the cars and day-care and whatever the f she can get......thats after she maxed out all the credit cards, and emptied $5k from the bank account.....

Then she comes home tells her husband how smooth the new dick is.

Women can be brutal.......get a lawyer right away.....Lawyer up, Dude.

You've never really heard your wife talk, till its through her attorney.

You'll get through this just like everyother guy on the planet did.

Its a part of being a man.

Bud,

You know I love ya, but you got my blood boiling. Men are not the only ones who get f'd in a divorce. My ex fought me for the house (that I bought) the Corvette (that I bought) and he was going after half of the $60K I had in my retirement fund, which I worked 24 years (at the same job) for. He lost. I liquidated the retirement fund and spent every phucking penny paying off my bills.
When his lawyer asked about the $60K..... my attorney said, "what $60K?" lmao.gif

Sorry to hear your daughter is being so greedy. It'll come back to bite her in the butt.

Speedie, Hola MI amiga.......

In short everyone one is an azzo regardless of sex.......it doesn't have to be that way.

One always pulls the plug and the other goes down the drain.

In this country a man loses his best friend, his lover, his home and his family.
Half of his income for 18 years or more..and his trust in people.

A woman usually just gets rid of a headache.......she keeps the home, the kids,
the car, the boat, the furniture and the guy ends up in a motel with nothing.

I don't blame anyone its just a fact of life, if you marry, you'll divorce.......

Men do not want divorce, women do.......
Guys just want to be guys for as long as they draw breathe.........jeans t-shirts,
beer, the bros, family, the gig, the rides, hangin out, just being guys.

Women want everything but that..............

Were simple creatures........packing for a two week vacation......trash bag.
Telephone call over and done in 30 seconds.
Time in the garage..............priceless.
Drinking isn't an addiction its a HOBBY.
Time with the mother-in-law.......your 1st preview of hell.
Guys 3 pairs of shoes...
Church.....worse than a speeding ticket.

I told my daughter that men can only take so much shizt and my son-in-law wears a gun everyday as part of his job......he's a CHP officer. He's a great guy, but, "he isn't any fun"........

She's pushing it........

I hope he doesn't reach his breaking point before she stops pushing him.

Cops! I can tell you about cops.

My first wife died a week after our 23rd wedding anniversary. It was a Saturday night about 8:30 p.m. She was driving and had an asthma attack which killed her. 42 years old. I doing CPR on her in the middle of the road and along comes the cops and decides that I must have been the cause or she OD. The paramedics take her in the ambulance to the hospital doing nothing for her cause the cops told them it was an OD. I was detained by the cops and was not allowed to ride along. When I had had enough I got in the car sat in my wife’s piss and the cops drew there guns on me. I told them I was going to the hospital to be with my wife. The *******s put away there guns and followed me all the way to the hospital with there lights flashing causing everyone to slow down in front of me. The longest ride of my life.

I went in the hospital and the doctor needed to know who my wife’s doctor was. I went back to the car and was looking for her purse. When I found it I looked up and the cops were searching my car from the other side. I told the cop leaning in the passenger door I don’t know what the hell you are looking for but when you’re done could you lock the doors and ran back inside the hospital. I then proceeded to call the relatives and soon the hospital filled up with concerned relatives. When the cops and the hospital staff saw everyone there to support me everything changed. The cops left. I know if the cops had not made the judgment that she had OD and relayed this to the Paramedics and hospital she might have got the right treatment and lived. The cops see so much crap that they forget the serve and protect and become judge and jury. When I got the police report it read like they supported me all the way. Covering there butts.

One year latter my only child our 23 year old son hanged himself. He was very close to his mother and then again

Another year later my 50 year old brother put a gun to his head, He did this three days after I told him how much I miss my son.

He wanted his ashes spread in a moving body of water but my relatives would not let me flush him down the toilet.

All in august one year apart.

Then the next August I decided to take the month off. I went to California and came back the last week of August on the 28th of August. I thought I have made it. That’s when two large dogs jumped the fence and killed my wife’s two toy poodles. The last living thing of our marriage.

I hate August!

Zathrus,

What a heartbreaking story.

When I say I'm sorry for you...it doesn't mean that I pity you. It means that I am sorry that life has dealt you so many devastating blows. Your purpose in this messed up world must be a very significant one, otherwise, you'd have been gone a long time ago. How you've maintained your sanity is beyond anything I can comprehend.

Peace in your heart.

Speedie, Zathrus is a great guy. I had no idea of what he's been through until now and I feel for him. I met him on the Corvette Forum a couple of years ago when purchasing an extra C-3 Corvette Steering wheel from him to use on my C-2 as I wanted a smaller wheel for the car. Zathrus seems like the kind of guy that would give you the shirt off his back yet he has had some bad luck over the years. I agree with you Speedie in that Zathrus's purpose in this messed up world must be a signficant one. Heck he even followed me over to this forum and I only asked him one time to help us get it going. He's been a great member to have on this forum.

That goes to show ya....you never know what burdens a person is carrying in their heart, or what demons they have nipping at their heels.

I try to remember that every day, and I try to be kind to everyone. There are some days I fall verrryyyy short. Today was one of those days, and for that I am sorry.

Zathrus....thanks for the reminder.

Sorry to unload.. I don't know what got into me.
Thanks for all the sentiment.

I do feel bad because I forgot to write for my deceased wife, son and brother,
GOD BLESS THEIR SOULS.

I have remarried to a very kind and generous woman who has taught me so much about life. She has been a blessing to me.
She has two sons and two grandchildren who treat me very well.
I love them like they were my own.

They're people just like you and I.......We all go through the **** man and women and the beasts of burden. My brother was murdered at the age of 19.

I'm glad that you got on with your life I really am.

Peace be with you my brother.
