Another Corvetteforum.com member banned/suspended

Ray has been a friend of mine since he first started looking to buy a C2 on the corvetteforum.com. He's a great guy and I can't believe he was banned for speaking out. Here is what he posted:

DefaultThis Is Exactly Why People Say That Corvette Drivers Are A$$holes. Louie's in OKC

Tonight (Thursday, August 20th at 7pm) I went out to the Eastwharf at Oklahoma City's Lake Hefner and pulled in to the parking lot at Loiue's. When I drive my Corvette I always try to find a parking place that would minimize my chances of getting a door ding. To accomplish that, I'll park 5 blocks away if needed. It's nice to get the parking space closest to the restaurant, but I wouldn't take up the closest first two spaces where families with children and elderly folk park. But tonight, that didn't stop the owner of a black C6 coupe (and that's only one car), Oklahoma license plate 287BCL. Is that a Forum member ? If so, we respectable Corvette owners congratulate you for setting us back down the food chain with this supida$$ move of yours.

Ray

Must have broken some terrible rule or the A$$hole was a moderator!

Ken,
You didn't think things would change over there did you? Have your good friend Ray come over to this forum and join. We would be happy to have him here where no one will be looking over his shoulder to what he posts. Try sending him a PM with a link to this forum over at the other forum. He should be able to still receive your PM and read it if he is logged in at that forum. When they ban you over there it pretty much means you can't post for awhile but Private Messages should still work for him.

I'd say Ray's post was correct in content .It does make vett owners to be arrogant when they take up multi spaces.

I'd be glad to welcome Ray smile

We don't need no stinkin mods !!!  smile  Just kidding, mods can be good if someone is out of line. But their money making advertising forums make rules that are really unnecessary and down right ignorant. They protect the vendors even when the vendor is wrong. At least here you don't have to re-read your post to see if you may have said something that will get you suspended or banned! Just wish we had a little more participation and a lot more members.

Everyone needs goals.
I hope ypu do not have to work to hard to get
senior geezer. 10 more posts should do it.
But the top level has to be senior codger.

Ken, I guess your friend is not coming over or maybe came here and looked around and didn't see enough activity to suit him. I'll tell you there are some people that look for an instant forum with hundreds of members already there. They are afraid to take a chance and help build a forum up. This is the problem we have here. Heck this forum may not be as fancy as The Corvette Forum with all those advertisers over there looking for your business but who really cares? I don't miss posting there at all. Occasionally I read over there and if I can help someone out with a problem I usally PM them since I can't post there anymore. I then let them know of this forum and have had some come and join up here. I tell them up front that I am not trying to take them away from the other forum and that I am only offering an alternative forum for them to check out and join. At least here if you want to talk about a dealer or vendor and your experience with them you can go for it and not worry about what will come afterwards as you need to do at the other forums where the MODS are looking out for every chance to get on your ass about anything.

That other place is the suckage. If you're not a part of the clique, then you're damn near invisible.

So what if they have a high member count. The majority of them are buttheads!

I have to admit I spend a lot of time on CF. They have called the dogs off of me so I can pretty much post what I want. I don't see a click on the C1-2 forum but can't comment on the other forums. Most of everyone on the C1-2 forum are looking for help, asking questions, giving answers that may not be good advice. I really wish we could take the good members from all the forums and get this forum off the ground. Maybe we need a web master to join and get Yahoo, Google, MSN, etc to figure out a way to attract Corvette people to here? Yep, I'm a dumb ass when it comes to this but all we need is some exposure somehow?
