First it's a ways off but it's not to early to make plans .
I'll explain what I do to avoid long winter storage .I check the car all over ,change the oil and then just before the first snow I drive the car from Maine to Orlando.I rent a self storage unit 10x20 at a self storage unit just across from the Orlando airport .It costs me $125 per month .RT airfair direct flight Portland to Orlando is approx. $200 .It's a great 3 1/2 hour flight leave at @ 2pm and i'm driving the car by 6 .I take a long 6day weekend once a month (twice in Jan) and enjoy the Sun&Fun.Key west is a fun drive.
April or may I drive the car back to Maine and visit friends on the way .

Actually I considered Vegas this year ,easy and cheap flights .I'd leave the car until May then my wife and I would visit a lot of the Northwest and Dakotas on the way home .I sent an Email to a couple members of the Las Vegas Corvette club pertaing to safe self storage but no replys.
There is a lot of Corvette roads in the US that i'd love to travel while I can still see to drive.
If you want a nice Corvette drive, take Hwy 1 up the coast of Kalifornia during the spring, summer, or fall. Amazing views of the ocean and coastal mountains. Also Hurst Castle to visit among other sites like Monterey Bay.

Yup! What he said! The winters in Georgia are pretty mild...except for this past winter.
Winter storage?? By winter storage, do you mean you don't drive your Vette until SPRING???? Eeeegads!!!!! I think I'd relocate!!!!
You can't tell from the pics, but our house is one of three in a cul-de-sac, and it drops off into a steep slope (?). We were out when it started snowing, and by the time we headed home the roads were slick. My Sweet04, had a hard time climbing the hill, and her wide booty was all over the road. Wouldn'tcha just know it???? As I was driving (sliding) UP the hill, my goofy neighbor was leaving her driveway. I missed sliding into her by a couple of inches.

Blake did the funniest thing...we have the carrot for the snowman's nose...she walks up and takes a big bite out of it!! While its in the snowman's face!! Then we laughed like crazy!!
