Mig welding..........light metal less than 1/4 mild steel....... Go with flux core or gas shield.......mostly outside welding in the wind. I've used gas shielded for better than 20 years........but I'm thinkin that its time to move on to flux core.
Number 1. Its better in the wind than gas shield cuz the wind blows away the gas. Number 2. No bottle to fill........
Are the chink welders any good? Are there any American welders that are actually built in the US?

First ,I was wondering what happened to Pete also .Actually of the group that came over from the Valley only the three crazies are left .
I'm an AWS cert welder but I only stick weld and I don't do that very often . I'll ask one of the boys tomorrow .I know we have a bunch of wire feeders and plasma cutters .My only specialty is I can weld under water which is kinda neat if you see what your welding .Interesting note that not many people realize ,you can use a standard cutting torch down to 12 feet .
Ya know Elivs I have a friend who is a stauration diver who says that walking on the sea floor is like walking on the moon..........it never goes away.
