A Corvette forum member possibly won it big Christmas day in the The 2009 Corvette Dream Giveaway. Dave Melitski won both a Restored 1967 Corvette Roadster 427-390HP and a brand new one of a kind Hero Edition 2009 ZRI. Nice win but the IRS will be looking for the tax money my guess to be over $60k.

WOW, nice! I'll give him the tax money if he gives me one of the cars!
Ken did you hear anything over there at that forum. I am not 100% sure I only posted what Google dug up for me. My bet is this guy is from Central New Jersey from what I saw on Google but I could be wrong. Its kind of funny because most recently maybe October early November I know of someone who won a Black '67 Vert. In order to pick it up he needed to bring over $18k with him to pay the IRS off as the car was in Maryland. I just ran into this fellow last week before Christmas. He is very happy with the car as he also owns a '76 Corvette. He sure didn't like the idea of shelling out that big tax money he owed to the Government for being the winner. My bet is unless this new winner has money to blow one of those cars will be sold. I wonder which one?

I didn't see anything on the other forum. But I only go to the C1,C2 tech area. Yep, taxes are a bit_h but like you said, sell one and keep one. Ya can only drive one at a time anyway?
NEW JERSEY STATE TROOPER WINS THE 2009 CORVETTE DREAM GIVEAWAY
David Melitski is the winner of the amazing 2009 ZR1 and '67 Roadster. David is a young New Jersey State Trooper with a great heart and a love for cars, Corvettes in particular. He is emphatic that his motive for entering the Giveaway was to help the children that are served by Kids Wish Network's programs, never thinking that he had a real chance to win. David's mother is a pediatric nurse so he understands the challenges sick children so often face.
David entered the Corvette Dream Giveaway four different times, with $100 donations each time. This proved to be good karma for David and his consistency paid off when he was announced as the winner Christmas day!!
David will be handed the keys to the one-of-a-kind Hero Edition ZR1 (serial #1 of 1) and a fully restored 1967 427 Corvette roadster by 15-year-old Dylan Ethridge, Kids Wish Network's 2009 Hero of the Year. The Grand Prize Award Ceremony will take place at Summit Racing's flagship superstore in McDonough, GA at noon on the 23rd of January. Stop by for the ceremony if you're in town.
If you weren't chosen as this year's winner, we sincerely appreciate your participation and hope you will take heart in knowing that your donation helped lots of deserving kids. Stay tuned for some exciting news about next year's Corvette Dream Giveaway sweepstakes.
