electric bill

Got my electric bill for last month........$18.05
Talked to a friend who lives on the coast and he said that his bill was $500.00 for a month.
Thats more than I pay a year......his house is on 5 acres, wooded redwood forest,
2500 sgft, with a well and a woodstove for heat........and a 500sgft apartment for his kid to live in.........

My property tax is $842.00 a year........my stepson's is $600.00 a month......my house and his is the same size.........

Man I'm glad that I left the coast..........its nuts propane is $3.29 there.
I burn 10 gallons a month here, and last night I slept with the window open
no need to heat the house anymore......it 72 here. The winter of 10 is just another unpleasent memory.........

Redwing 76 just $18.05 for the month? Dam! In the month of January we payed something like $540 for electric and gas. February was maybe $450 a short month. I also pay close to $800 a month for my N.J. property taxes that are just under $9500 a year. 2100 sq.ft. not counting my 3/4 finished basement which is suppose to be included from what I understand in your square footage. Well Water and Septic. House sits on a 100x240 lot. Have a 42x60' Pole Barn on the back of my property to store my toys. Same electric to the Pole Barn. Waste Oil Heater for heat out there when needed.

Dude, I couldn't afford to live where you live.......even if everything was paid for.
I'm retired.....that means living below the federal poverty level......

My house is paid for, so's the car...
I picked this place for its affordability, so I could live without a "little job".

My property taxes are two payments of $442........1152sgft...1/2 acre.
Car tags $170...a year.
Car insurnace full coverage...$650. a year.
Water $30.00 a month.
Phone......unlimited long distance..$40.00
Sat tv.....$15.00
Internet dial up.......$16.95
Fire insurance......$540...a year
Propane.....$450.00 a year..
Elecrtic...$18.50 to $30.00 in summer.
Dog tags......$5.00 a year...

A house here where I live will run you $50,000 to $125,000.......
California is a cheap place to live as long as you don't live in a city........but would want to live in the city anyways..

New Jersey is a rip off, and its only going to get worse..
