windshield sticker removal

I removed a cling-on decal ,It was static cling and had been there for a year .No problem on the removal but the red paint that was on the decal is still there.I tried fantastic and 409 .Thought about nail polish remover or alcohol --any thoughts?

GOO-GONE, and work it in with your finger, let is sit for awhile and scrape it off. If it still has residue, do the same thing over and over.

Thanks ,after I posted I tried mineral spirits which did the job .Now if I can get the windshield back in I'll be all set biggrinbiggrin
