Opt in ,Opt out

A proposed New York law would make it mandatory that your automatically an organ donor unless you opt out.

Believe me the one thing I try to persuade people to do is to become an organ donor .It's one of the greatest gifts that anyone could give .But I think it should be free choice .Any opinions ?

NM forensic lab helping ID body parts

By: SUE MAJOR HOLMES. Associated Press Writer

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A state forensics lab is helping to identify human remains found during an investigation into a New Mexico company.

The owner faces fraud charges after body parts traced to the company were found at a Kansas medical waste facility.

The DNA section of the New Mexico Department of Public Safety's Northern Forensic Laboratory is analyzing samples to help identify other body parts found at the Bio Care facility in Albuquerque.

The department says forensic scientists have used DNA comparison from 100 samples of body parts to link samples to 25 males and 19 females.

Public Safety spokesman Peter Olson says the lab is matching the samples to each other. He says the state Office of the Medical Investigator will identify exactly who the body parts belong to.

Dude I'm to old to donate any body parts.........Im past the age of no return.
At the VA the doc says, "You need this test and this test", I says I'm past that point.

Most men die between 55 and 65, I beat that rap, I won that race now Im doing victory laps.
I figgure I've got another on the short side 2 years and on the long side...8 years.

My body parts are wore out, used up and pickled..........hell they barely work for me.

Donated bodies:

Sometimes the bodies go to med schools where they practice cutting up.
Sometimes they go to forenic studies..........where they take your body and leave it a junk car to see how long it takes for the bodie to decompose in the trunk of a car.
They use to use them as crash dummies.
Sometimes they leave the bodies out in the field and watch the Coyote's and Racoons eat them, and the worms.........

No respect for the newly departed............sometimes the Spirit wont leave the body for weeks after death.......sometimes longer, the attachment is that great.

They aint getting mine, my dogs are..........the final meal.....next step dog crap.

Ah geesh Bud you been watchin those Sci Fi movies while drinkin' again .If I become a walkin' zombie the first house I'll haunt will be yours.

but like the title of the thread indicates ,It shouldn't be anyones right to harvest a persons organs without prior permission .In this case you want to keep all your old parts and thats YOUR choice not the Gov'ts .Thats the way it should be. Ya won't see me callin' ya a selfish old grunt .xd.gif

Not sure why anybody would want any of my organs. They haven't worked all that well for some time now! I would hate to see some expensive operation done using my used-up organs and then they fail within a year or so. no
