Maine is almost as liberal as California .The primary reason is all the people "from away" that moved here from the cities .In the Governors race (primary)there we're about 8 candidates .One of 'em Les Otten former part owner of the Red Soxes and two large Maine ski areas decided he was going to win .He spent enough money to be able to take every man women and child out for lunch .Well it back fired and Paul Lepage a native Mainer whipped his azz with less than $100,000 budget.
It just seems that in politics the person who has the most money gets elected ,not the best candidate .Maybe thats why we've had three idiots in a row as president.
