My son made every effort to spoil my vacation a couple of months ago. Not only was he successful in that effort, he also broke my heart....again.

I vote for putting your kids back on the plane and bidding them alooooohaaaa!!! You and MrsKen deserve a relaxing vacation.

Damn kids!

Speedie, never take a kid over the age of 12 anywhere, but to a home for pre-teens
and leave them there.

Kids when they get to age 12 they walk into a closet and and come out somebody you don't want to know, Hell they don't even like themselves.

Hawaii is best in the winter months,,,,,,,,,,,,,Hello.

I've never been to Hawaii, I've always been on house arrest or probation.

 

Every year the company I deal with has/had a national meeting .Back in the 80's things we're tight for us so we'd go to the meeting and stay an extra few days and that was our vacation .The boys went with us and had a blast and never had an issue . The boys have been to the Bahamas ,Cancun ,Mexico city,St.Kitts ,St Thomas and other places they still talk about today .Matt our youngest learned to swear in five different languages .I'm sorry we never got to take 'em to Hawaii .

Any and all vacations are so important in life and really need to be enjoy every precious moment as if it we're our last.

Agreed.....however, I spent most of my two week vacation either in tears, or on the verge of. My son was mean, disrespectful, unappreciative, selfish and detached.

I could have saved the $2000.00 and stayed at home.

Speedie, kids need and want rules, they will fight against them in the extreme,
 rules mean that you really care about them.

A friend said to me one day that his daughter was being a real jerk, he said to her,
"When you were 5 that was cute, when you were 10 it was out of line, now that you're 20 it could get you in a world of trouble.

If there was a book on how to raise children it would go from here to the moon.

Kids are the f--king you get for the f--king you got, natural born azzholes, there are some exceptions........
It has nothing to to do with parenting.

Theres a old Japanese saying, "If the child turns out good its the parents fault,
if the child turns out bad its the parents fault".

Me I where the buck stops.........you can get over on anyone but me.
With me WHEN I say NO means  NO, it doesn't mean maybe, it doesn't mean if you keep hasseling me I'll give in, it means NO.

 Doing great although drank a little too much last night and paying for it today but ya gotta have some of those tropical drinks. Forgot my camera USB cord so no pics to post. Spent most of yesterday at the beach, Hard Rock for lunch, Lallani's for dinner. Back to the beach today. Trying to find out which snorkeling cruise to take for the next day or two. Maybe do some jet-ski tomorrow. Also want to do the Zip-line thing. But seriously need to cut back on the food. Eating way too much trying to keep up with the kids who have bottomless pits (daughter 23, son 20). Having a great time even though both the kids are still azzes.
