I've worked in an office for the last few years but now I'm being put back into the field .We're Commercial /Industrial contractors and we're forced to lay off 30 people over the last two years .We've picked up a couple jobs so the boss (my oldest son) wants me to run a small crew .This means traveling an hour to work and putting in a full 10hrs 6days a week .I really don't mind it's the part of construction I like the most.
Point being that Forum time will be cut drastically but I'll stay with this one and try to be here daily .
CAC ,Florida,Digital,and the Valley will just have to suffer.Not that anyone would miss me
This Forum has has come alive a little and even though I contribute very little useful intelligent information it's a nice place to hang out.
Work is a four letter word.........the only thing that I hate worse than work is being broke. Tell-um your to old to be busting your balls working 60 hours a week.......
I haven't had a full time job since 1989.........and I haven't worked at all for 5 years. If you work you have to be somewhere on time, that sucks. You can't eat till lunch time, that sucks. If you work you have to pay taxes, that sucks. You watch the slowest clock in the world for 8 hours, that sucks. Then you fight the commute to get home with 10,000 other robots. By the time you get home, its Miller time just to stop running. A lttle boring tv and its lights out.
Then it starts all over again the next day, you start living for Fridays. Friday nights go by faster than your money. What money it was never yours to begin with, you were holding it for a few minutes. Kids and dogs, niether one of them work and they eat like pigs.......
Work is a rut, and a rut is grave with the ends kicked out.
DON'T DO IT........Nobody on thier death bed is going to regret not working more over time.........Me I rather watch Sponge Bob with my grandkids or play video games.
Tell the son, "Take this job and shove it, I aint workin here no more".............
Ah ,but I actually like getting up at 4:30 ,getting to work by 6 and coming home physically tired I sleep good at night .I'd rather spend 60 hrs in the field than 20 hrs at a desk.

Not really,I enjoy building and most projects are unique .We also have mostly Veterans with disabilities that work for us .I plan to semi retire at 85 (maybe)
What frustrates me is Govt leaning on us all the time.
Not that anyone would miss me
