I changed my clutch fluid today and I also vacuumed my upper front radiator. Both looked like it was time.
Yea, that is a good idea. I'll change the clutch fluid when I get back to N.J. next week. Last time I had it in for an oil change, I also had the brake fluid changed.
How often do you guys change your clutch and brake fluid?

What brand and type of Clutch fluid are you using? I am still not familiar enough with my C5 as of yet. I never had to change clutch fluid before so this is all new to me.

I use synthetic DOT 4 Valvoline .Look at your fluid and see if like a crust around the outer edge and is real dark .If it is a medium color and smells healthy you may want to leave it.Hell my Ford truck has never been changed in 200,000 miles

Dot 4 is a brake fluid very similiar to Dot 3. Both will absorb water. The only thing different about the 2 that I know of is the boiling point or something of that nature. The only time I have changed out my Dot 3 or Dot 5 Synthetic none water asbsorbing Brake Fluid in my Collector Cars is when I have a problem such as a bad piston seal or master cylinder in the C-2 using Dot 3 or in the case of my C-3 using Dot 5 fluid. Using a turkey baster type of fluid remover is not a bad idea but will basically only change the fluid in the bowl of the master cylinder as it doesn't circulate or go through the system unless you bleed it out. I assume the same would be for the clutch slave cylinder.
