I just read, in a couple of my Vette magazines, that individuals who order a new Z06 or ZR1 can, for a cost of $5,800 plus travel expenses, add order code PCB.
That order code allows the new owner to asseble the engine assigned to their new Vette at the Detroit GM Performance Build Center.
It is without saying that an engine builder will direct and supervise the build.
I think that is neat. Would certainly do it. Problem is that I don't have the money. LOL.
Having been a guest worker at 03 on the production line I think it's a great idea.The more Corvette can get customers involved the better the chance Corvette will survive.
