Tires?

I am in the market to buy 4 tires for my daughters 2007 Mustang. It came with Perrelli P235-55-ZR17 tires from the factory. I can still get these same tires that have a good rating. Problem is these tires are considered Summer Tires. I have also looked at some All Season Tires that will fit her car. I read somewhere on this forum where Speedy mentioned about buying Kumho tires for her C5. I see Kumho makes a pretty decent looking All Season Tire with the same specs as the Perrelli above with a better Wear rating and I should be able from what I can see save my daughter at least $88 dollars on 4 tires. Last Winter my daughter had a terrible time getting around with her Mustang on the Perrellii Tires with snow on the ground. Don't know if All Season will be much better on her car but I believe they can't be any worst. Curious about others toughts on this. Living in the North East you can face some pretty bad Winters.

I'd look at tire rack as a guide .I was looking hard at the all season Kumho's but their not available for the C6's .

I love Mustangs but I've never had real good luck in snow even with Lags and chains .

I think if it we're me I'd look are seasonal snow tires .Do the old routine ,on in the fall off in the spring.Maybe even studs if your state allows them.

The Mustang is not a car to be driving around in the snow with. Same with a Camaro or Firebird. These rear wheel drive cars were always terrible in the snow. If the snow is heavy out my daughter won't even think about driving. Her needs are the commute back and forth from her job. She takes the train in the morning to get to her job but drives to the train station maybe 15 miles away. The morning could start off fine but by the time she gets back from work there may be snow on the ground. She got stuck in the snow a number of times one night working at her part time job of bartending on a Saturday night. She barely made it in the driveway home. Actually I had to take out my '90 Blazer that I use to plow my property and hook up a tow rope to her Mustangs rear end to pull her back up on the road as she slid onto the lawn to the left of my driveway while pulling in. This is what we are faced with. Anything to better her winter driving I guess when she needs it I feel.
