Spring maintenance

Got the car out yesterday but I did a little prep work .Changed the brake fluid ,added a little tire air ,vacuumed the radiator which I should have done last fall .Changed the cabin air filter.I spent about an hour under the car and everything was great.

Did you bleed out all of the old brake fluid or just suck out with a Turkey Baster what was in the M/C?. How bad was the cabin air filter? Heck I have to check if there is one in my C5. Never even thought to check being the previous owner put one of those special performance air filter systems on the car that I never looked up to see if also had a cabin air filter.  Nope just looked to my left and saw I had a 2010 Purolator Catalog next to me. From what I can see only C6's have cabin air filters starting in 2005.  Heck I never needed a cabin filter before in any of my other Corvettes anyway. One less filter to change.

Turkey baster only ,it really wasn't that bad ,C5's don't have the same issue with brake fluid .Te cabin filter collects a lot of stuff surprisingly but with a vert --whats the point biggrin

In a lot of respects C5's have some real pluses over the C6 ,the only big gain is 100hp and that doesn't do ya much good going to work and back.

I am just getting to know my C5 a little more each passing day being I only picked it up last August and didn't get to drive it around very much before Fall when I put it away for the Winter plus all know I have other collector cars to also deal with. Can't drive them all at once thats for sure. Sometimes I wish I only had one special car to worry about but then you can grow tired of one car as I have so in the past. Back in the day I didn't have much room back when I lived with my parents many moons ago during the late 60's when I first got my license and living there through all the 70's.  When I was looking to get my own place during the early 80's I wanted to have more property then my parents had. I do have a good piece of property today and with it installed a Morton Pole Barn behind my home back in '91 and as I tell some friends it was like putting a little fish in a big fish bowl so to say.  As we all know the fish gets bigger. Since then I had plenty of room for more toys (cars). Now I am just about out of room but pretty much have everything I ever wanted. I really can't complain as I did what I wanted to do being a car nut.

Somewhere I have a list it's called "everything you didn't know about your C5 " it's very interesting .It I find it I'll send it to you.

We may build a bulk storage building for a customer !50' clear span by 500 ' long .If we do I'd love to take a photo of my lone car sitting in the middle .I'll list it as MY new garage .

I should probably move this thread into the C6 section. Let me know what you members think.
