Wind screens

I have been thinking about getting a wind screen for the C6. Anybody have any experience with them? I think they are kind of ugly but if they work it would be nice while driving on the freeway at 70 MPH.

Never felt I needed one .I think your major problem is your driving to slow.

Yep, probably too slow. But if you want to pay the tickets, I'm all in. smile

Ken, Only owned one convertible in my lifetime and that was my first Corvette my '67 Corvette Vert purchased back in 1970. Never liked driving around with the top down I have to say although I had more hair back then. Drove it mostly with the Rag Top up. Had a hard top that came with the car but didn't like the look with it on the car so it just sat in the garage. Even through today I rather own a Coupe and only purchase Coupes yet my '73 and my '99 are made so that the partial tops come off. I rather leave them on.

The only drop tops I have owned was a little MG Midget back in 1976 and the fiat 124 spider which I bought last year. Both were a lot of fun so that is why I decided to get a drop top Vette. So far, I like it except when it's really hot, I put the top up to help with the A/C. Top takes about 20 seconds to put up or down. It's a manual top and way too easy. smile

I love those hot summer nights when I'm on a road trip .72 -82 are great temps .Sadly mine came with a power top which takes up trunk space and the manual is so much faster and easy.

I have to shake my head on some days when I see cars with their tops down early in the season in my part of the country when it is still real cold out but especially on many of these hot and humid summer days here during June,July and August. I just know those people can't be comfortable no matter how fast they drive. I guess being they have a convertible they feel the need to put the top down.  I rather drive with the A/C on on those days.

Top down with A/C on full blast. Bearable, but I drive with the top up on really hot days.

I'm sort of with Fred on this .I admire those Mustang people when it's 50 degrees and sunny the top drops .

You can widen your comfort zone with windows up and air or heat on .I've always had a vert and I truely enjoy it .
