Got a call from my brother that mother was in hospice and didn't have much time .I wasn't going to go down to Florida but come Thursday 5 PM I decided to leave Maine and drive .Picked up my sons girl friend and we drove all night ,she was great .It took us 24 hours and I was beat when I got to Daytona. My mother passed away before I got to Boston .My brother really got things together and mothers body was already in route to Northern Maine .He made all great decisions and within two hours everything was settled and done .Mother was 98 and she was very active up until the last month or so .
I had forgotten this was Bud-Shootout this weekend .GM Junkie is in the area and so I picked up tickets this morning and we'll bond before I hit the 1400 mile trip home .Thats a good thing.
Very sorry for your loss. Very hard losing a mother or father. Experienced losing my father in 2008 and most recently my Mom at the end of October of 2011. They say time heals all wounds. Still feeling the lost of both parents.

WOW, you were very lucky to have her all those years. Sorry for your loss and it takes time. Lost my mom and dad and only sibling over 5 years ago. Dad was 78, mom was 75, brother was only 60. I still miss them and regret not spending more time with them. Just keep busy is my only advice.
