Anyone still using Internet Explorer should switch to FireFox. It's 10 times faster and does not cause lock-ups. Had my daughter install and set it up for me and WOW...very nice. I'll never go back to IE8.
Have both installed on my computer over the last 5 or so years if not more. Haven't had any problem with Internet Explorer. Had some problems that I thought were associated with Internet Explorer but had the same problem when going over to Firefox during the same period. Turns out it was my internet service being I use to use DSL. I now have Cable internet. So far so good.

I was getting very slow response times and sometimes it would lockup. My wife's computer was doing the same thing. She installed FoxFire about a month ago and not one lockup and no delays with response time. I installed it 3 days ago on my laptop and am soooooo happy. Very fast and no waiting for streaming video, youtube, etc.
