Well, it will definitely suck if our legislative gurus can't get a budget done. I'm so pizzed off at the BS we put up with from our elected representatives. Think we should vote to cut their pay. I think the 2 party system is failing. Has been for some time. I keep hoping each new year things will change. Too many people without jobs, no health insurance, it's just not right. Health insurance is not affordable for young people so who pays for them? Yep, we do. But that will change soon I hope so everyone will be able to afford insurance. My daughter works part time for minimum wage and can't pay her bills much less $1,100.00 a month for health insurance. And the insurance has a $500.00 deductible, 20% copay. Drugs also have a big copay. It's BS. How can people ever get ahead. Friggin Doctors are rich, health insurance companies are rich, so how do we get a handle on the problem especially since it gets worse every year instead of better. How does other countries have health insurance that is basically free? Sorry, just upset with all the BS going on and nobody doing anything about it. Maybe we need a depression and hit the restart button. Nothing is working and hasn't for a long time. Might be time to look for somewhere else to live. Anybody check out Canada? Oh, Happy New Year! LOL

I grew up on the Canadian boarder and have relatives on the other side and if ya get into a quiet conversation about health care controlled by the Government it's very expensive .It's not free at all it's hiden taxes on everything .The way things are for us that health care is not an open market and competitive .Look at the car insurance add's on TV ,tons of 'em but nothing on health insurance .

And as far as Congress they should loose their pay and benefits until the balance the budget and reduce the principal on the national debt by 5-10% per year .This country within two years will implode the way things are going . yep happy new years .

Nothing but a big mess out there and its only going to get worst with Obama at the helm. Don't know if you two see it as I do but I see the problem with the Dems in the Congress. Remember Reid hasn't passed a budget in 4 years in the Senate and the main fight is over spending. Can't blame the Republicans being they want the spending to stop. Looking for at least a Trillion in cuts. Problem is the Democrats want to keep spending like Drunkin Sailors. Look at what the Dems did to California. Its broke. People are moving out. Ken  I am sure you know this living there the problem the Dems caused being they have had control what seems forever there.

Happy New Year!

I've said it too many times, we need to get away from the two party system. It just doesn't work anymore. Instead of butting heads, we need to work together. That seems to not be happening enough. We need to limit illegal imigrents, supply birth control for free to the poor, have some major overhaul on health care. After that is all in place, jobs will be plentiful and we can stop supporting people who can't or won't work to pay their own bills.

I agree Ken ,I once did a long independent inquirer as to my political affiliation .Although I didn't get perfect marks or agree with all of the agenda I found myself to be a Libertarian .Now the newly elected Senator from Maine Angus King an independent has sparked a lot of interest .Although he was a very popular Governor ,he wasn't particularly good .
