I got in a situation that I had to get back to Maine from Florida .I couldn't leave any sooner than Friday the 8th and the big norteast storm was coming .I drove up as far as Fredricksburg VA and stopped waiting for the roads to get clear .I left at 6pm the 9th because the roads we're open .All roads we're decent with almost zero traffic except CT .Worse driving I've ever been exposed to and I was the leed car with one lane open .Three things we're in my favor ,all season rf tires ,traction control and years of driving on snow and ice .I was able to leave the 4wd's in a cloud of snow Now it'll only take me 6 months to get the car clean .
Yep that is the biggest problem of them all in getting the car clean. Once warm weather comes you will have to get under it with a Pressure Washer to get all the salt out of the frame and everything else below. Would be nice if you could go somewhere where you can rent a outside lift to do what you need to do.

No go this winter .Car is stored in a quiet corner of the shop with the room thermostat set at 40 degrees .I have a tender hooked to the battery just in case I need to make a quick exit some night .I'm not sure of the future as my wife of 49 year has had three strokes in six months and she will never recover .In the past I could leave her and head south which is no longer possible .NOT complaining :D
