If current members here want to see this forum grow faster first of all they need to participate here more themselves to begin with so that this Corvette forum doesn't look like it is dying. I think some who joined may of thought this forum would grow over night. Problem is it takes time like anything else to build up a new forum. I try to explain this when contacting potential new members.

This forum is basically only 2 months old now and we have 18 members at last count. (18) is really not that bad of a number of members if more participated on a daily basis.

One suggestion for a faster forum growth would be to let others know about it. Most all of us know other Corvette owners or even former owners and what would it be to drop them a line to let them know of this forum to come over and take a look around?

Also all members already here should PM people on other Corvette forums they still belong to, to come over to see what we have going on here. Hopefully once they get here to see what we are trying to do they will join this free Alternative Corvette forum.  At the least I would think they would Bookmark this site to come back to it.

When you PM someone that stands for Private Message. No one else will know what you have to say other then your contact. Its not like you are advertising this forum on another forum in a thread so no Mod will even get involved in trying to stop you and trust me they will if you post this link in a thread on their forum. It wouldn't be safe for your membership there to do that and again trust me as soon as that was found out by a Moderator at said other forum they will definitely lock that thread.furious

Let all new potential members know that this forum is for them and no one else. As far as I am concerned this forum is owned by its members here.  Let them know that there will be no Gestapo Tactics used here to threaten them like they are being used on some other forums when they happen to say something a Moderator there doesn't like. All members here already know what thats been about. (Say something about a so called Supporting Vendor or dealer over at one of the other Corvette forums of which I will not mention a name and you will get the 3rd degree. You either get suspended or you get timed out like children in kindergarden.no In my case I was banned forever over there. banned.gif  Forum member Kensmith had the same problem but was forgiven over there. I am sure Ken won't be saying the wrong thing there anymore since he is being watch like a hound as the Mods there are constantly looking over Kens shoulders to what he has to say.

All members here already know how they were contacted to come here. All that you need to do is to repeat the process with someone else and watch this forum grow by the day. Once this forum gets more so on its feet with say 50 members you will see quite a difference I believe. Heck I think you will see a difference even at 25 or 30 members so lets get to work on new members.smile
