I would like to say hello to everyone, this is my first post here, I was reffered from corvetteforum.com
So I was bored the other night at work, and I was in the basement of our dealership looking at OLD records, when I came across the 1967 records, I thought it would be cool to find an invoice for a Corvette with the 427 and a 4-speed, and look what I found... I am only 24, so I dont think I've ever seen a vehicle brand new that cheap EVER, and its so hard to believe this car is more than likely worth a lot... Just thought I would share it. I am going to find some more free time soon and go looking for more big block corvette invoice.
Espo, Thanks for taking my invitation to come over to the STS Corvette Forum and post your thread about the '67 Corvette paperwork you found in the basement of the Chevy Dealership you work at. What a find? I could only wish someone would come up with the paperwork to my 1967 Coupe since I have no idea what dealer sold my car originally. From what I heard my car came from New Mexico but I can't document it. Since all paperwork for the C-2 and C-3 Corvette have been lost or thrown out by GM I will probably never find out.
Funny thing but it shows the 427 in the invoice you posted as being 425 HP. As far as I know they didn't make a 425 HP in 1967 other the the famed L88 that was sold and rated at 425 HP a far cry from what they really did put out from what I understand to be well over 500 HP. The 427-435 HP was one of the most popular on the street where as the L88 was built mainly for racing and came delete the Am/Fm Radio. They also had a 427-400 HP version of the '67 Corvette StingRay available among the 2 (327) small blocks rated at 350 HP and 300 HP.

Welcome!!!!! yes, Fred is correct. The L71 was a 435HP, 427 in 1967 and the L72 was a 425HP, 427 in 1966. Possible coded wrong on the printout or kept lower for Insurance reasons?
I've sent the invoice over to a friend of mine who just "retired" from GM (Tonawanda BB plant for a long time) for his opinion. I'll letcha know what he thinks.
