Thanks for joining up here. With a little help with bringing some new members here this forum should not disappoint anyone. Its only been up since last October. At least here you won't find the Gestapo Tactics used at the other popular forum. As I was telling Ken its too bad this forum wasn't around when Ken and I had problems over at the other forum with a couple of Vendors and Dealers trying to warn others about the problems we had. Instead the Moderators over there tried to shut us up and Banned me and tried to do the same to Ken and actually did for awhile . After seeing what was happening I decided to not shut up and started this alternative Corvette forum.

 Members who have a problem with a vendor or dealer we welcome them here to discuss the subject. Over at the other forum they are taking money from these Vendors and Dealers for advertising and because of that they are partial to them and don't want anyone to say anything that may hurt that forum from getting advertising dollars. That ain't happening over here.

Thanks for stopping by. I am still using that Steering Wheel I purchased from you a while back on the other Corvette forum.

Look we need as much help here as we could get in bringing new members here. With only 23 members as of this date the forum is growing slowly and yet we still have people posting. Just think if we had at least a 100 members. The more members the better the forum as someone will always have something to say I feel on the forum. If you have any buddy's who may be interested in this alternative Corvette  Forum send them a PM with a link to it as no one else will read your Private Message and you wil lhave nothing to worry about.

I just want to make it clear to everyone as I have from the beginning. I am not trying to take anyone away from the other Corvette Forums. I am just offering an Alternative Corvette forum here to come to one that no one will  have to worry about when discussing some of the issues concerning members at the other forums as mentioned previously in this thread. Heck if you have a problem that can't be discussed at the other Corvette forum bring it over to this forum and talk about it leaving a link either in the thread or in a PM to all others involved or for those who want to know more.

As far as Ken and I are concerned we had legitimate gripes about some unscrupulous Corvette Vendors, Dealers and Repair Shops to discuss on the other Corvette forum. Members were interested in what went on but we were told to shut up by the Moderators there with threats of being banned for speaking our minds. I mean how else would you warn other members I ask? To this day I will never deal with Lics or Diamondback again or will I ever recocommend them to any member looking for Corvette Parts or Tires here. Both done me wrong and I will never forget about the experience I had with both Vendors.

Keep the fourm going, I just joined and posted pictures. I don't have a Corvette, but have always been a fan of the car. I have been to the museum and plant in Bowling Green. I just sent the link to two of my friends that do have Corvettes.

vett boy, If you need to change anything in your profile go right ahead and do so as to what name you would like to be called. The poll was put up in early April to see what other members thought. I tried to explain to members here when this forum first started last October of 2008 that it would take awhile to get this forum going. Many joined but apparently were looking for a instant forum with thousands of member to be on it in no time flat. It just doesn't work that way. It's dissapointing to see some have not been back for months which doesn't help this forum out one bit. A simple post once in awhile to let us know you are alive wouldn't hurt and of course letting others know about the forum wouldn't hurt, it would definitely help it as we need more members. Most know by doing a little reading here on the forum why this forum was started in the first place. Many like the idea of this alternative Corvette forum to go to where forum moderators are not looking over your shoulders to everything you write as they do over at some of the other forums. There are no so called Supporting Dealers who belong to this forum paying an advertising fee as they do at other forums. So there isn't dealer influence here as to how this forum is run. If you have a problem with a dealer we want to know about it here so other members won't have the same problem. Try to talk about a problem you have had with a Corvette Parts dealer or Repair Shop at the Corvette forum and you will be banned for speaking up either for a few weeks or forever as in my case. That will never happen here. It will be pretty hard for someone to get banned here in the first place unless they cause problems with other members here and so far everyone has gotten along well on this forum. By the way welcome to the STS Corvette Forum.

I agree. I have stressed this since the beginning back in Oct. of 2008 when inviting members here from the Corvette forum as I told them there was no need for them to leave that forum and that I wouldn't want them to do that. I just welcomed them to come here to check out an alternative forum where one didn't have the Gestapo type of tactics being used as they are being used there by its Moderators. Anyone who has belonged to the Corvette Forum in the last couple of years has surely seen these Gestapo tactics take place especially since the forum changed hands. 

For instance, have a problem with one of their so called Supporting Corvette Part Vendors or Dealers. Don't you there say anything bad about them on the Corvette forum. That is a no,no. Right away the Mods jump in and tell you to take it to a PM between you and the Vendor and then delete your posts or lock your thread. What good is that I ask? I have been down that road before. Does that protect the other members on the forum from going through the same thing? Heck no. It protects the CF's advertising dollars thats all.  I always felt the other members deserved to know when someone is being mistreated by a Vendor.  Is their anything wrong with that? Many members have asked at one time or another where to go to purchase their Corvette parts. They should know from other members about their experiences I feel with these Vendors.  I got treated like a piece of **** by Lics in New York and Diamondback Tire in SC. They both put the screws to me. I wanted to make sure this didn't happen to other members. For it I was banned forever from that forum the reason for this forum starting up last year. Kensmith also a member here and a member at the CF went through the same thing. He was banned forever also and came here but worked it out with Moderator Master Dave over there at the CF who was doing some work for Ken on his side exhaust at the time he was banned by another moderator and Ken was let back on the forum. To this day Ken has to keep his mouth shut over there or he will again be banned. I can't live like that myself since I am one who tells it like I see it. Don't get me wrong as I have also praised some of the Part Vendors for their great treatment. I am very sure that most members who have come to this forum and joined up happen to feel the same way as I do on this particular subject or they wouldn't be here.

As far as the Quote from Vette Boy above. Heck yea. Others should be invited. We need more members here to keep this forum alive. In the least no one will have to be worried about any MOD putting the hammer down on them for speaking the truth about getting screwed by a parts vendor here. They can bring that dirty laundry here to speak about if they want. I want to know when someone is being mistreated by a Vendor so I can avoid that same Vendor.

Well I belong to CF ,CAC .FCF ,DCF and VCF in addition I also belong to AARP ,NAACP,KKK,AWS and AGC. The only time someone got pizzed at me was one rainy day I put a white diaper over my head when I went to a NAACP meeting.I apologized and everything turned out OK

Im a quiet, peaceful man and I've never shot anything in my life......I know first hand what its like being shot.......

I don't know but its seems like this forum is being over run, by the buy American crowd.
I got a new weight bench.......pro Olympic.....yep made in China.
I had to doing some measuring on the thing to get put together and I used my Stanley tape
made in China to measure with.

For the tools for assembly I used my Craftsman tool set and my 'Cresent" wrench.
All made in China.
My new dvd player 1040 dpi..........made in China lasted 2 weeks........but my dogs opened the box......

Whats next a Chinese Corvette, made in America.

Actually I was waiting at The Doctors office this AM (he was an hour late).I saw a American Scientific Magazine that the title article said "are we being exposed to alien cells ?'' .I immediately thought of Redwing .
