Went to buy some car wash for our every day drivers and saw a bottle of No Dry wash. Though what the heck, I'll try it and if I don't like it I will throw it away. Well, washed my daughters car this morning and followed the directions using only cold water. Rinsed first, washed and rinsed as I went along. Did a final rinse and walked away. Came back an hour later and it was dry. Could not find a single water spot! Granted it was only about 65* or 70* out but not a single water spot. It's by Simoniz and called Self Drying. It's yellow in color. I hate drying my cars so thought I would share this with everyone.
On all of my vehicles except my Classic Cars I have been using a Car Wash made by Solder Seal the makers of Engine Gunk. I buy it in a 25Lb pail and have been using it for years. I never dry my other vehicles using this stuff and they dry real nice. Dixie let me know when you try the new product Ken mentioned on your Merc. My Classic Cars don't get very dirty for how much I use them. Most of the time I will just hose my Street Rod off and wipe it down. My '67 I just use a Spray bottle full of plain water. I don't want water going into the doors and other areas of my older cars if I can help it. A total car wash lets water in where these old cars don't need it and sometimes if the car isn't driven enough it might cause problems one doesn't need with these old relics.

One thing I noticed, make sure you use COLD water and rinse really well. I use it on my daily drivers, my corvette only gets Maguires quick detailer. I don't wash it, just use the California duster and Maguires detailer.
Something else I've been using is a leaf blower to get a lot of the water off .Ya still have to wipe but 75% of the water is gone.
That works great in all the little nooks and crannies to get the hidden water out.
Ken, You should tell your story of what happened to you on the Corvette Forum over you questioning a leaf blower type of automotive tool being pitched over there. Did't you almost get banned for asking the Vendor about matching a price on Amazon.com or something of that nature? I am sure the CV crew would love to hear about it.

Well, a Corvetteforum.com vendor got made at me and had my post removed and tried to get me suspended. They only removed my post. The vendor sells dog dryers that also work for drying motorcycles and possibly cars. I asked if he could match the price Amazon.com was selling it for and I guess that's a NO-NO. Then he sends me a PM bitching me out and says if it wasn't for vendors, the forum would not be free to me. Dumb Ass didn't see that I did pay to be a supporting lifetime member a long time ago. Another reason the forum rules there are way out of line. What is wrong with a little competition? So sad!
Here is the post by the vendor, they removed my post obviously:

UPDATE: This stuff sucks. Worked great in the spring but tried it during the summer heat and it water spotted my wife's car. Don't buy it!
I think its just a water softner.......with a filter, its the chemicals in the water that makes the spots. When I lived in Orygun the water was so pure that all they did was filter it. No chemicals, it was hard to wash off the soap in the shower though.
