I have a son that runs my financial affairs and he's fair but tight. OK to buy one but sell one first.
I had the privilege to work at Bowling Green as a guest worker back in 03 .If GS's sell they will build 'em and lots of 'em (lol)
At my age it's only a matter of time before I loose my privilege to drive .That said I did very well on my last eye and medical. No accidents or tickets in 20 years .
But all that said sooner rather than later would be spiffy .
My wife says the same. She thinks I don’t need another one. I’m still young enough to work on mine and that’s why I like it. I can work on it. But not for very many more years.
I have already promise it to the grandson, so I guess I will just have to be disobedient.
My son is pushing me to get a new one anyway because he has dibs on it already. lol
Just want all five active members to know it's still for sale as of Dec 28 /09
Never owned a late model Corvette in this day and age but I did own late model Corvette's back in the day during the early to mid 70's. Right now I have no room for one for all the vehicles I have. Heck I can't even find enough time to drive the 2 Corvette's and Street Rod that I have. Didn't even take my '73 out for a ride this pass year. I have a restored '70 Monte Carlo that I have been trying to sell that I haven't driven for at least 5 years now.

Well I've got 30,000 miles on her and the price is down to $37,000 and it won't get any lower till next summer.Getting to the point where I'll probibly keep it
You probably did this already but what the heck I got nothing to do right now. Kelly Blue Books has your car at Trade = 33,650, Retail = 39,800 and Private Sale = 36,200. I think the economy has a lot to do with this.
Lots of people are afraid of losing their jobs and what is coming in 2012.
My best to you. I know what it is like to try to sell a Corvette. When I decided to buy a new 2006, I put my 2002 for sale. It took a few months but finally sold it to an army helicopter pilot. Sold it just two weeks before the 2006 got delivered to the dealer.
Mydream is to buy a C7 in 2013. My C6 will be 7 years old, hopefully that will be the year the C7 will come out and it will be my own 70s birthday present.
God willing I will still be able to put the hammer down and enjoy the ride.

You've hit the nail on the head Lou .I could offer it for $30,000 but no one is buying. The other obstacle is the mileage ,I now have 32,000 miles and gaining .
Vett Boy, How are you? I thought this forum no longer existed. I am glad you updated this post. I see you are still dreaming of a C7. Well, so am I. I can't wait for 1/13/13.
We are still here Lou. No reason to pull the plug on it as of yet. When I get tired of coming here and not see anyone posting anymore I will make the decision but not before hashing it out with all present members of this forum first with a PM to them to see what their thoughts are about it.

Glad to see ya post I was thinking about ya the other day wondereing if we would have #1 off the line (thats a joke )Wondering if you got a new dog and wondering if you'll be in Daytona when I'm down .My email is sdm@gwi.net
Hi Vett Boy. Sorry I have not replied earlier but been out of commission for a few days because of my back. Thank you for asking about PJ. No, we have not gotten another dog. We have a lot going on with two grandchildren and a third coming in May. I will probably be returning to Florida mid-February and will be there until end of May. I hope we have an opportunity to meet in person. Hang on, just a few days to see that C7. Lou
Well saw the C7 and there is more I like than don't like .So the car is still for sale .Might get lucky this spring although the car is now basking in the Florida sun.
I am not sure yet what to think about the C7. Lot's of new tech, which is a plus but since I have not seen it in person, not sure I like those black plastic vents.
Well I have two firms that I'm converting over the next couple of years into ESAP's and all our employees are veterans with disabilities or hard to place veterans .I want to semi retire at 85 and I'd like to leave something behind for others .Never made a lot of money but we have a super reputation and a banker with a sense of humor .
The goal is for the employees to own the company over a 5year span .I'll start with one company and then do it with the second .I'll retain 10 % of each company and my engineer will retain 10% .In my case I'll draw a small salary .I meet with an attorney next month .
The first company is a construction company and we build industrial commercial buildings about half are pre -engineered metal buildings .Before the recession hit we had 32 people working ,we're now down to 5 workers .Next year if all goes well we should be up to 7-12 range .
The second Company is Low E Building Systems that is a material supplier which we want to transform into a manufacture of the products we now sell .In addition my engineer has come up with a design for a load bearing wall that can be built at the new plant we have designed.
We're transforming both companies into ESAP's where most of the employees will own part of the company. We will be dependent unfortunately on Federal grants but so far we've done most everything with cash flow .
You might want to Google www.lowebuildingsystems.com we've built approx. 400 buildings over the past 41 years and a large amount of repeat customers .
All of our employees are disabled Veterans or hard to place vet's .
I wanted to tell you earlier but I had lost the url for this forum and did not remember the name.
Guess What? I sold my 2006 and ordered a 2014 Coupe. It is in transit to the dealer right now.
Should be in a couple of days. Bought from Glueck Chevy in Jasper, Florida.
Night Race Blue, chrome wheels, 3LT, Z51 wing, Gray interior.
Can't wait.
Congratulations to both of you. Yes I am still around but haven't been to the forum in awhile. didnt think anyone was coming here anymore. Guess I was wrong. Will need to check in every week again.

Frig it ,can't sell it for a reasonable price and a C7 is $60,000 .I'd rather spend the 60 toward a condo or house in Florida .
I'll drive it and drive it and drive it .In another 10-15 years they will take my drivers licence . I'll be stuck with with a 19 year old big busted blond Swedish girl just like i married 48 years ago.
