I know how you feel. I built a 32 Ford show car. Showed it for 3 or 4 years, got a closet full of trophies. Now, I just drive my 65 corvette on weekends, stop by a show just to look around and then drive home. Just lost interest. You are no different than a lot of enthusiasts. Ok, maybe a little! LOL

Speedie I have the answer to your troubles. Remember the old saying ***Variety Is The Spice Of Life***?

Your problem is you need another toy to play with. Awhile back you mentioned in a post that you would love to have a C-3. Maybe it is time to do so. No matter what car one has as their toy if you use that car day in and day out you will get tired of it. Take that same car and lock it up in a garage and don't drive it for a month, 2 months or in our case here up North for the whole Winter and when you finally do you appreciate it more. Its like you didn't have it for awhile and now you do so its like brand new again.  I was going to try to explain this in some other terms that I was thinking of at the same time but I decided to not go there. wink.gif

Fred,

In my younger days we used that quote in reference to the ladies. Never had just one girlfriend because "variety is the spice of life". biggrin

Very true........guess that's why I have been married for the past 27 years. Don't think there was such a thing as AIDS back in the day. They had shots to take care of the other stuff. no

Hey Bud,

You and I have something in common. Once very significant commonality: I don't trust women either. I can't help that I was born a woman (I actually like being a girl....), therefore, I deviate from the norm. For the most part, women are catty, sneaky, petty, untrustworthy, mean, selfish and difficult. I try to be none of the above. I only have two female friends, the rest of my friends are guys. My husband new that when we became a couple, but he also knows that I won't ever let him down or stray from our marriage vows. I adore him, and stepping out on him will never be a consideration.

Burnt out? Yeah. Bored? Yeah. This too shall pass. bored.gif

I don't think you're an insensitive, selfish, azzhole. I think you have been treated very badly by the females in your life, and you were never shown what unconditional love is. For that, I am sorry. Keep lookin' for someone like me...she's out there. smile.gif I'm not one-of-a-kind.
