NEED A FAVOR

Ken or anyone else still on the CF Forum. If you take a look up on your left you will see my newest avatar. Actually someone took one of the pictures of my
67 Coupe on the CF Forum that just so happened to come on that forum a couple of years ago and made this for me. He did it for free and did a few others but was looking for business.  I have the same picture saved on my PC as my screen saver. It also made a nice blow up poster. Anyway to make a long story short as I am banned from posting on the CF Forum and banned from looking up any previous posts that I have made on that forum I am not able to get the info that I need to a good friend of mine who would like to hire the fellow going under the name of (CRUZ) that had joined the CF forum at the time. I am hoping someone can go into my profile still listed on the CF forum and find the old thread from maybe 2 years ago and see if the fellow (Cruz) can be reached. If so I was hoping to get in contact with him to throw him some business. If Ken or Sebring or any other member still on the CF forum can find this info for me it would be appreciated. Thanks

I've got a problem with both CF and digital .I can't log on ,My user name is correct but my password is not .Although I've been a member of CF for years I've never posted and digital I've only posted maybe 50 times.

Anyway any hints on how to get in?

Ken,
Thanks a million. Hopefully Cruz will come to this forum. He is welcome here to look for business. As I said I had someone ask me about my picture who was interested in having the same thing done a little while back.

I don't know if other members noticed in the Avatar but he has the '67 draped in the American Flag. I posted a larger picture below for all to see on this forum.

Usually you can go to a help tab. Not sure if CF has this option. If not, give me your user name and I will post that you lost your password and need it sent to your email.

Fred,

That's a great photo of your 67. What does he charge for something like that? What size is it? How many pics did you send to him? Very nice!

Ken, Thanks for the compliment. Cruz is the man responsible for it. Can't remember exactly what I did whether I sent him the digital picture of my car or told him to go into my Corvette Photo's on the CF forum and picked one for him to do. All I know is the guy knows what he is doing. I have a 16x20 that I had made up sitting on the wall of my office at home. Actually the one at home is the one without the American Flag as he did two up for me. One with and one without. He sure has a talent and does a great job. I have no idea what he charges to do one up but as I said he is welcome to advertise on this forum for some business. He probably has no idea but it will cost him nothing to advertise here unlike the CF Forum.

Ken,
I guess Cruz is not interested in coming to this forum since we have heard nothing from him. Maybe he is just not interested or is not doing that kind of work anymore.hmm

Fred,

Did you email him? He PM me that he was kind of busy but would try and visit this site. He told me the charge was $75 to do the photo-shop and you take it to Kinkos for the printing which is not included in the price. Try sending another email to him.

To be honest with you Ken I must of misunderstood what you were saying when you made that post listing his email address. I saw no need to email Cruz being in the same post you mentioned he was going to come to this forum to visit. I figured at that point he would just sign up on this forum which doesn't cost anything to do but take a few minutes of ones time. From there I thought he would set up some sort of free advertisement here on the forum as he is welcome to do and let us all know here on this forum what was required by him with contact info. He could of then listed all the details as he did on the CF forum.  I figured in this way people who are interested now or will be down the road could contact Cruz right here on this forum. This would pretty much leave me out of it other then my recommendation of his work.

Of course I would of sent a link to either this thread or a separate Advertisement Thread that we could of set up for Cruz to the friend of mine who was interested in having this type of work done.

Fred,

Here is the PM to and from him. As you can see the PM wo0n't fit very good in this space so some of the words are not here:

Thanks,
Does Fred own this blue Vette in the picture?I have done a few '67s for poster size over the net.I put a custom collage together and then I email the file to the car owner and then all they have to do is send the file to a local print shop of their choice like Kinkos,Stapels,ect,ect... It's cheaper this way. Anyway, my email is redcruzzer@sbcglobal.net . I just got off work this morning and I'll take a look at the link you sent me when I wake up this afternoon. Thanks again.

No, Fred has a maroon 67 and you did it about 2 years ago. I sent him your email. What do you charge to do something like this? Really nice work! thumbsup.gif

I remember now!! You know, for a 24"x36" poster I charge $225.00 at our local car shows and that includes me taking high resolution pictures and me having it printed. What I want to start doing more often is having car owners send or (email) me their own pictures and me putting it together for them to have it printed at a place of their choice.most printshops like Kinkos charge somewhere around $50.00 To $60.00 for their Print services. I would probably charge somewhere around $75.00 dollars for my service for forum members. All my work will include modifying the original picture like shining up the wheels, darkening the tires, bringin out the chrome and fixing minor imperfections. Here are a couple of collages I did for forum members via internet....Thanks
Let me know if you have any more questions!!thumbsup.gif
