Soooooo............. Time for a new car.....

No, it's not going to be a Corvette. I'm done with 'em for a while, if not for good.  I'm not letting go of my '04, but I don't want another one. Something has died.....

...here's what I'm thinking about. Not this particular one, but close enough....

I got up close and personal with one this past weekend.  SWEEEET!!!  What do y'all think of them? Good? Bad? Gimme the truth. I can handle it.

Hubby isn't crazy about them....says they're too pricey, but he's supportive of my decision. It'll be my new daily driver, and I'll be paying for it.

Speedie I consider you a friend........
So I'm going to give my friend my opinion.......I consider the 2004 Ford Cobra the best car of more than 20 years.........the new ones are faster, and in some ways better, but I can't fit in them.......Im 6'' 220 pounds and the new Camaro is a car that I can't fit into.......

GM lost the muclse platform a long time ago.........
Im sorry but I can't fit into the new GM whatever...........if its not a 04 Mustang it has to be a F-150..........
But I'am glad that your new life is all that it could be.................

Thanks, Bud. I consider you a friend and I appreciate your opinion.

There's more room in them than I thought. I'm barely 5'2", and it feels roomy to me. Jim doesn't feel the same. He's 6'4" 200+, and Chris is 6'3, barely 170. Neither of them are overly enthusiastic about it. C'est la vie......it's my decision, my money, my car.

I haven't decided if it's a go. But dangamighty, they are GORGEOUS!! GM is offering the 2010 in Cyber Gray!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I kinda like the Aqua Blue Metallic.

The other draw is the $$$. With a few $K down, the payments will be LESS than half of what my Vette payments were.

We'll see.

The downside.....

Will the guys of STS let a CamaroChick hang around a Vette forum?confuse

Ok, maybe Ford can outrun the new Camaro SS but there are simple bolt-ons that will make that Camaro into a 500+ horse power monster. I like it! smile

I haven't even considered a Ford.

500+, eh? Sounds appealing! I'm so used to the power of my Vette, I want something comparable. Gotta have the boost!

Speedie.............JUST DO IT! Seriously, if you like the car then buy it. Ya only live once. There are some easy bolt on parts that will give you more ponies than you will ever need.

Speedie you don't even have to own a Vette to belong here on this forum. You have already owned one and thats plenty good enough for me.

Don't know your age but my daughter bought herself a new Mustang in 2007 at age 24. Red like the color of that Camaro you showed the link too. My daughter loves her Mustang. She really wasn't looking to break the tires loose and chose the V6 that has more then enough power for her. I don't think you need 500 Horsepower either. No one does on the street. Do what you feel is the best thing to do. These newer Camaro's and Mustangs are pretty darn fast equipped with V8's right off the showroom floor. I drove my daughters Mustang and although a nice car it is not big enough for me. I don't feel comfortable in it to be honest with everyone but I am going to be 59 soon and she is now only 26 and thin. hmm

Yeah, if your not a midget......the new Mustang and the Camaro not comfortable.
If you're 6' plus there not there.......When I was a kid I had a MG Midget.....I fit fine then.

I like these

Thanks, FFAS....

I'm not planning on racing the Camaro. I don't need 500+ HP. If (when...biggrin) I get it, it'll be my new DD. I'll still have my Vette.  The toughest decision every morning will be deciding which car to drive: Corvette? Camaro? Corvette? Camaro?

As for my age? Let's just say 24 was a fairly long time ago. I was born in '62.

Thanks for your kind words.
