Christmas Cheer

2010 is going to be a really bad year.......more banks going under.......more jobs lost,  oil shortages,  falling real estate values,  the demoncrats are going to finish the country off for the next 10 years.......but its "change".

The US imports 65% of its oil from our enemys...........worst case senerio.......
The dismall economy is actually a saving grace.........oil use is down.
With out that we could be looking at $5.00 gas again, in 1973 the US oil production peaked..........its been down hill ever since. The price of gas doubled
in less than a year. From .25 a gallon to .50 a gallon.......and the Japanese finally got a real foothold in the US auto market.......the rest is history.

It wont be long till you'll have a choice to buy a Ford with 50% Chinese parts or a Korean or Japanese car with 75% Chinese parts........GM and the other luzar car company will be history. The flood of cheap Indian cars is just around the bend
followed even cheaper Chinese cars. American's will jump on the band wagon and sell whats left of the US car market out the door.......and blame it on the government and the unions........

Iran has invaded Iragi oil fields........thats 25% of the worlds soucre of crude.
That leaves Iran with almost 50% of the worlds supply of oil........not good for the US.
The Chinese have publicly stated that oil is important to its economy and will go to war for it. Eventually the Chinese will invade Russia for its oil fields, following the lead of Iran and Iraq with its invasion of Q-8.......its all the oil.

No oil, no food, no power, the lines are being drawn and they don't favor the US.

6 billion people can not survive even the smallest loss of oil..........

Merry Chritmas............

I have to agree with you. It's all about "THE OIL" Also we don't make hardly anything here in the U,S.A any more. When I was a kid in our town back in N.J things were booming now many empty buildings. I hate to say this but i'm glad I am 65 years old and near the end of the line. I feel really sorry for all the young people they are going to have a hard time trying to survive. With all this Democratic HANKEY PANKY going on. They could care less what the people want and the CONSTITUTION which they pledged to uphold. I think we are headed to be a third world country.

It's going to be like Pearl Harbor. A lot of destruction before the new generation wakes up and tries to fix the inevitable. Might be too late. Hope not but I see so much bad stuff going on and nothing being done. The younger generations are burring their heads in the sand or are just too blind to see. AND you can't tell them anything because you are an old fart and don't know squat!

I'm not a religious zealot, by any means, but I profess to have a strong (very strong) faith in God. I realize many will argue whether or not there is a God, but I believe there is, just as much as I believe there is a heaven and a hell.  I also believe that until people get "back to God" our world is doomed. That thought doesn't apply to just our nation, but the world as a whole. The things that are happening throughout the world should be a wake-up call to everyone. Unfortunately, not many are listening.

My dear friend Bud...I know where you stand on this topic, and my comment is not intended to offend you (or anyone else) or incite an argument. My beliefs get me through the day...........

God help us all.

Ladies and Gentlemen I have to agree with all of you here. I am sure we have seen our better days. It's all down hill now.  Things are bad out there and they are going to get a hell of alot worse from what we all can see. We are in debt up to our ears in this country. As someone said the other day on TV the FDIC is already bankrupt. There really isn't anyone protecting your money in the banks of America. We and our kids are going to see times like we never saw before. Pretty soon the money we have won't be worth the paper it is printed on. When that happens we are finished as a nation. Barrack truely wasn't the answer. He only made things worse in this country. He will finish it off within the next 3 years.

Andy hows Opie?

Beach Boys...........uh..........I grew up in Los Angeles Ca.........

During the Beach Boys time there were, all the groups of young people trying to decide what side of stupid they were on...........

The Jocks...........azzholes only need apply.......
The Suffers...........Beach Boy follwers.........that carried surf boards in the back of thier Woodies even though they lived 40 miles from the surf.....
The car clubbers.........enough said......car coats, plaques in the back window of the rod..
The Bikers...........drugs and chicks and booze........the Panhead and the Knucklehead were king........cut offs and white T-Shirts, engineer boots and Levis only..........

The home-boys.......Kahki's and Sir Guy shirts, spit shined shoes, and the standard assortment of weapons........
I fit in with all the side walk commandos........but the Jocks.........to stupid for me.

I never got off on picking on the little kids.......so that left the jocks out.

My best friend was Charles Manson's source of pot..........Mason knew the Beach Boys well at least one of them........

Los Angeles was interesting it still is, but dodging bullets gets old.............

Ya, know the saying that Jesus is the reason for the season..........its not true.
As far as anyone can tell Jesus was born in mid to late March..........
As far as where Jesus was born it was probably a cave.
Jesus was born when the sheperds guardred thier flocks..........they only guarded thier flocks when the Eus were giving birth......the spring.

Dec the 25 was the celebration of the Roman's celebrating the end of the short days the winter solstice..
Kris Kringle was a police officer in early Germany...........

When the Roman's made Chritianity the offical religion of Roman.........they added the idea from the ancient Greeks of heaven and hell...........as a form of control.
Hades was a Greek invention...........

Christmas is just so much myth and hype...........but the idea of giving is sound anytime of the year........
Is there a God you betcha but you wont find him in any religion in the world...........

Why do we an enlighten populace believe in the superstitions of past?
Thats the great question.
Is it not good to believe in the goodness of your fellow man all year around?

Human kindness. Civility. Decency.

Yes, it is.............but....................never mind. This is a conversation which should be held around a table, with a few pitchers of beer.

Anybody else in?
