Bud,

I saw one up close and personal a couple of weeks ago (sitting right next to a 2010Cyber Gray Grand Sport ), and I gotta tell you, it was the most gorgeous thing I'd ever seen. I can guarantee you one thing: with all the power that beast possesses, I'd be dead within a week of ownership. I'm smart enough to know it's more than I can handle.  If I remember correctly, the MSRP was a tad bit more than $121K. I'd venture to guess that by the time all the "extras" are tacked on, that baby would be $160K or more to get her out the door.

Well, Speedie, if it costs .25 to shizt I'd have to sneak outside and puke..
But the 2010 ZR-1 is all the car that the Corvette should ever be..........

Hang out Speedie theres no "Parrot" here...........ps stay out of "whine and cheese".

I agree with you. On BOTH counts. That's the plan, with the exception of an occasional drive-by.

Speedie, just avoid "wine and cheese", Parrot's own rule is no personal attacks on the open forum....I never go to the whine and cheese anyways, arguing at about stupid stuff is not my idea of intelligent conversation..
Personal attacks:

Thats what high school was for.

Everybody likes the Southern Lady there, everybody but Parrot.......and he doesn't like you because you don't like him.
Sound like a Merry Go Around....The Merry Go Around was fun as a child but now its like most pursuits in life it only goes in a circle......

I like to debate most topics but I don't argue STUPID or IGNORANT......theres no point to it.
Overcoming STUPID can take a life time, its something that has to be expierenced out of someone, you can't argue it out of them.

But that being said I do like to poke stick at people who think that thier answers are the only answers to me thats fun.
The more set someone is in thier beliefs, the more they react negatively to any new information. The new iformation is compared to the "OLD" and if it doesn't compare favorably
with the "OLD" information it is automatically REJECTED...

Thats why you drive yourself nuts trying to reason with the "UNREASONABLE". Its not possible to argue reason and logic with people who don't think in those terms..

An excellent example is Washington DC.......It simply doesn't apply to those MORONS.

Ignorance for most folks is a state of grace....."Ignornace is bliss"......yeah, it might be if your pig going to the slaughter house, but it looks out of place on people.

Everyone has thier own personal opinion and thier own personal reailty......thats fine its like money.......its just a way of keeping score......every once in a while you can't help thinking that for some folks.....they've lived the first ten years of thier lives for 50 years.

Those are the ones that you don't want to relate to.
You can't learn anything from them and they can't learn anything from you.

Don't dent the new truck if you do oh, well...........

Bud,

I subscribe to the philosophy:

Never argue with an idiot; they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

--and/or--

Never argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

That pretty much sums it up, dontcha' think?

As for the Tahoe...yeah, it's nice....but it's just "stuff".

I got to say the newer Corvette's as nice as they are and they do look good to me just don't do it for me. I could go out and buy one tomorrow but I like the feel of an old Corvette. The Corvette that I use to drive when they were new. I get in my '67 and Cruise and it brings me back 40 years. Being in the ****-pit behind the old gauges with the sound of the factory sidepipes is all I need to make my day. Maybe I don't know what I am missing with the newer vettes but I sure do know what I would be missing if I ever sold one of my older Corvette's. Both my '67 Coupe and my '73 Coupe are replacements for my '67 Vert and my '72 Coupe that I drove back in the day. I still kick myself on occasion for ever selling them.

ffas, you've got some really nice cars and you saved all the right ones.
All of you do........for me as long as its a Corvette its a joy to own.

But that 2010 ZR-1 is the top of the heap as far as performance goes.
The mid years are my favorites too.

You know when you have a classic Corvette the basic rule is you don't take it out and beat it.
But a 2010 you can take it and go mudding and it wouldn't matter theres plenty of them.

Sometimes its just nice to have a Corvette that you can't out and not worry about it.
Just drive it into the ground with 100,000 miles of smiles.

My love affair with Corvettes began with the '73. My life will be complete when I finally have one.

Confession: Before I married my wonderful hubby, I was involved with a guy who has a '73. When we parted ways, I realized it wasn't HIM that I wanted...it was his Vette! lmao.gif Shallow. I know.

Hey Bud,

My Sweet04 rolled over to 110000 miles today...and every one of those miles is representative of a smile and a happy memory.

No regrets. Not a single itty bitty one.

Susan, thats what I'm talking about........not those who think about life, but those who live life.
Yeah, you enjoyed your C5 in the best of ways.......it doesn't get any better than that......Corvettes are meant to be enjoyed.
Corvettes are one of the few good things in life.
Well that and Bacardi...........
