It was a rainy day and I didn't want to fuss with the vett so I said to self "self we'll take the truck ."This is my dog (Lizzie's) favorite truck .She likes it for two reasons it has a back seat and she's got most of the human smell out .Anyway I had an important meeting about 2hours away and I was running late .Lizzie (female back seat ) kept sayin' your going to be late So I'm heading up the interstate at about 80mph when I get surrounded by trailer trucks ,I'm in the passing lane behind a truck ,a truck is beside me and one in back The wind starts to buffer the truck when all of a sudden the hood pops up breaking the windshield .Lizzie starts screaming in Boxer ,pit bull and possible some profanity in hound .I was able to pull off the road onto the interior meridian .The wiper on the right was broken ,the right side of the windshield was shattered but in place and the hood was semi ripped of the hinges .Being a Ford I had a good supply of rope ,wire and bungee cords .I continued on to my meeting .I had to listen to the dog for the next three hours complaining that she couldn't see because her wiper wasn't working .
On a happier note it was an 2001 ford and It only has about 6 more months to go >white hood at the local junk yard was $100 with hinges.I know why they call female dogs "bitches"
Well I found a white hood off an Expedition that will fit .Cost me $125 .Lizzie and I'll put it on tomorrow after we have coffee .We have coffee just about every morning .
