For me it would be great. But my wife would never go, she's a city girl. If there isn't shopping malls, she won't go. Rocklin, Ca is where we live and it's 85% white. About 30 minutes from downtown Sacramento just at the base of the foothills of the Sierra's. We have a large mall in Roseville which is 5 miles away. That is about as country living as the wife will take.

Lets clarify we are talking about illegals, gang members, and low life's who live off of others. Demographics don't determine racists, only the population of different ethnic backgrounds in a given area. Gotta remember most of us didn't originally come from North America. Our great (great) grand fathers may have been from far away.

Racist, its just a demograhpic, all most all informational city or state sites break down demographic information.
In some areas of the US just to mention that your White is racist..... One can say African American, or Mexican American, but if you say that your White you're a racist, or even worse if you say that your a European American then your really pushing racsim.
Race is a pusedo science, theres technically no such thing as race. There is only one race and thats the human race. So racism is a misnomer without any real merit.
Now prejudice is different, that is to prejudge based on skin color, or ethnic background, or religion, is prejudice. It has nothing to do with racism.
If you look at the US Census questioner it asks what race you are, is that a racist question? Or is it simply demographics?
In todays PC Culture it would seem that being "White" creates problems. Why is that?
If a family was looking for an area where they would feel the most comfortable residing, demographics would be important for them to see if they would fit in. It also indicates, the number of churches of one's faith, or lack of said churches in a particular area.
Its just stats. One can not really state a case of racism out of statistics, its only numbers. All "races" prefer to live with thier "own kind" as a form of cultural bonding and a shared life experience.
Theres nothing intrinsically wrong with that unless you feel left out because you believe that your being discriminated against. If thats the case then its unsually a personal problem.
Obviously there are ethnic encalves in any area, but that is not a form of racism, nor is being more comfortable with people who you share a cultural back ground with a form of iether racsim or prejudice.
It would seem that in todays America, "White folks" carried the burden of racism simply by the virute of being "White". I suppose to be PC the demographics could say that an area was mostly populated by a minority of other than "non whites".
If one were to read the legal definition of racism one might be shocked. But if its a taboo of the forum so be it. "When in Rome do as the Roman's do".
I guess when you are a Moderator you have to think out of the box. I don't think any of you guys are Racist but that is me. There are all kinds of people out there and they think differently. I mean think of it this way. Who in their right mind would of voted for Obama? Plenty drank the Obama Kool-Aid. I am willing to bet no one on this forum voted for him but there are people who did or else he wouldn't be President. This is what I am trying to say. I have to think as a Moderator how something like this may affect someone else reading it. I have seen too many people take things the wrong way.

My grand parents were born in Germany. I've always found it hard to be proud of being of German descent. I was born here and I don't identify with being anything but an American.
In California its really quite rare to have a white majority. Its so unusual that its worth mentioning.
When I lived in El Paso Tx it was 85% Hispanic, its just the cultural make up of El Paso Tx. Santa Teresa New Mexico was the same way. Theres actually nothing racist about it, thats just the way it is. Laredo Tx is 100% Hispanic.
But I see your point............its one of those things that you don't talk about.
Also though not talking about certain things has its own meaning. In El Paso the Hispanic are quite happy with them being in the majority. Its frontline news in the El Paso Times very often.
I mentioned it because California is 65% Hispanic, and to have a town thats not is very rare. Its a sign of the times. The face of America is changing...........you know the old saying, "You can't go home again", its because "home" is gone.
