I know ,I joined a Lotus forum and they are terrible cars .Noisy, hot ,leak, terrible ride, blind spots, expensive to repair, issues, issues, issues .But I'm still draw to it.
If I did buy one it would break my "buy American rule".Doesn't matter because I can't spend money I don't have
I have heard nothing good about them but then I haven't owned a foreign made car for at least the last 25 years. When I was young and dumb I drove Japanese cars. Didn't realize I should be investing in America and not Japan. But I guess if you buy a used one, the dollars stay here except when you break parts! And with those cars you will break parts.

Well we're on the same track .I've seen a few Elises for sale with 2500 miles and still in the wrapper .I think a lot of people get into 'em and think they should ride like a Buick .They in fact ride worse than a 56 vett .
I'd certainly want to drive one and talk to a lot of people (owners).
Hey my socks are Gold Toe made in North Carolina .Probably by illegals But ever thing I buy I try to buy American (US or Canada).
Now as a wise man mentioned in a previous post implied that a used Lotus might not be as big of a sin as a new Lotus. If I found one (white W/SC)with 100 miles on it I might not feel super guilty. At least a Lotus isn't made in China
Speedie, I want a lot of things, always have........but most of all I want a mind like the blue sky, with the spirit of the gentle creek. A life thats always known to me, with the love of all that is.
I don't want to miss even the the smallest of moments, or the finest of rain, the always evening shadows, the smell of the fresh earth, the cool of the winds in the fall.
I was lucky enough to be born in the most beautiful place in the universe, this blue ball floating in the inky blackness of space.
Knowning life for all of its ups and downs has always been enough for me, as a child I never wanted to go to sleep fearing that I would miss out on some part of this great adventure called life.
Of course a 03 Cobra would be nice, but material possessions are a fleeting experience at best. One becomes owned by that which you think you own.
