"Pigford V. Glickman" "Pigford V. Glickman was a class action lawsuit against the US Dept of Agriculture alleging racial discrimination in its allocation of farm loans and farm loans and assistance between 1983 and 1997. The lawsuit ended with a settlement in which the US Government agreed to pay African American farmers US$50,000 each if they had attempted to get USDA help but failed.
To date almost $US 1 billion has been paid or credited to the farmers under the settlement consent decree.
No offense to ANYONE but when will our bleeding heart Government stop with this kind of cr_p? Why doesn't the Government compensate me when I took a 6% decrease in pay due to the economy? Why don't they bail out the small business? Farmers are in business and know the risks. Or am I missing the point that these were only black people who could not get approval because of their skin color? No white, brown, or yellow skin people had the same problem? I didn't read the lawsuit so I may be speaking out of turn here. I just get tired of all the legal payouts to people for past history that tax payers who work hard for their money are having to compensate old history mistakes. It is coming out of our pockets! And we the people need to stop it!
Ken read the lawsuit its amazing..........r I understand that this is a car forum and a buisness venture, but the crap going on in this country is really important to everyone in it. Without a fair playing field this country will go the way of the dinosaur, and there will be no cars, websites or anything else.
Racial prejudice is poltical bs and big business. Take all the white folks out of the world and there is no world......................
