I'm not a big baseball fan but since the Giants won the west, I have become a big fan! I like going to the games but they are really slow on TV . And since my 49ers suck again, the Giants give me some hope .
I am watching the playoffs. Unfortunately, I can't watch the Giants/Philly games. The cable company I use is in contract dispute with the local Fox station. The Fox station pulled from the cable company until they reach an agreement.
My understanding is that the cable company paid Fox 70 million last year and they now want $150 million.
Nice, right? The customer is the one who is in the middle and can't watch what they are paying for.
I have been doing some research about installing a digital antenna. So far, I have found that it has to be a UHF antenna, I have the coordinates for the transfer station closest to me and the antenna goes for about $60. Not too bad. I just need someone to install it for me. It has to be outdoor (probably by the chimney), grounded and coax cable.
Most of whats on the tv menu nobody watches, I like the Catholic Channel, Hail Mary 24/7........I've been glued to my seat for years to see if one of the (nones) falls asleep.....
I know Bud that your interests vary from the rest of the world but my point was that it would be nice if I could purchase the ten channels I like best .Lizzie could purchase Animal Planet and my wife could purchase the several she likes .I just can't see having 390 channels to select from .350 are plastered with info-mercials .
Now for sports I use to like baseball ,I use to like NASCAR and naked women mud wrestling at my age doesn't excite me.
Live sports like school boy hockey, basketball and soccer is more my speed .As a matter of fact I'm going to watch my grand daughter play soccer in about an hour.
