Well, the Chinese aren't interested in Corvettes......they're after the world. China is a lot like the US of A......millionaires with lots of poor people.
China has no oil............future wars. The US has no oil..........future wars.
Russia has oil.........China will eventually invade Russia for that oil. Now thats a war that we can't lose. China is going to own GM.......and the rest of the US.........our country is for sale, to the highest bidder.
Thats fine because the world will end in 2012 and I just want my C7 before that .
I you believe in the Bible according to the bible it is written 120 times that the world will not end that it will go on forever. You must of heard the latest out just a month or two ago they are claiming the 2012 doomsday date is off by another 3 years. They are now saying it is in the year 2015.

Well, how come nobody told me the world would end in 2012. Heck, I would have retired 10 years ago and spent all that money I stashed away for retirement!

The Bible: Inconsistent at best, some what truthful at the very least. The basic tenets are good.
The Old Testament is a collection of ancient myths, its time lines are not realistic. It tells a very basic tale of the begining, but one has to keep in mind that the people of 5,000 years ago were almost all illiterate and the bulk of information was in the hands of the very few.
The New Testament is some what different in that it is written by unknown authors long after the Death of the main character, ie Jesus. Christianity was a small Jewish Occult, untill Constatine used it to unify his new Rome in Constatinople.
There is no proof of the Historic Jesus at all, hence the basis of the religion is dependent on "blind faith" for its authenticity.
But given all of inconsistency of both books of the Bible I find them to questionable at best.
I believe that there is of course some truth in both books, but total truth....no. Without the books having known authors with verifiable works for solid refernences I would say that both books are based on myths.
Myths, ancient myths, often take on the aura of "truth" at a much later date. As an example the story of Noah's Flood was told long before the Old Testament was written. In the story of Gilgamish there is a tale of a world flood and that story was also recorded in ancient Iraq.
The myth of 2012 is also not ture...2012 simply marks the end of a time within time. Like 2011 marks the end of 2010.
As far as the world going on forever that is impossible, that states that the world has no begining and no end....ie, forever. It is a fact that all things have a begining and an end......... The Universe has both a begining and an end....."The Big Bang" is the begining of the universe and with the universe in constant expansion it will eventually expand out to a point where all in it will be frozen....the Earth included.
Science and myth are in collision when it comes to the Bible. Science is verifiable to a given point, blind faith and myth have on real meaning except in the mind of the believer.
