Getting ready to head south even though it's July .Dec 26th I leave Maine for the Florida Keys no matter what the weather.Bought a new set of Michelin RF all season tires for a cool $1400 .

Leaves have turned in Maine so I called it "Nancy's Day".We drove to the mountains and had a picnic lunch .Haven't done that in 40 years.

two weeks ago memorial day northern Maine got 5 inches .My 08 is out in the sunlight but it hasn't been warm .She just turned 60,000 miles and runs like new .

The poor car will need to stay in Maine this winter .Sooo she has a battery tender ,carpet under each tire ,oil change ,full tank and a bunch of mothballs under the car .I turned the heat to 45 degrees so the car will think that it's just a cold winter in Orlando .

C6 headlight issue .Low beams can suddenly short out .Not bad till high beams go at the same time .

Got the car out yesterday but I did a little prep work .Changed the brake fluid ,added a little tire air ,vacuumed the radiator which I should have done last fall .Changed the cabin air filter.I spent about an hour under the car and everything was great.

A friend of mine has a 2010 GS convertible with less than 5k miles. Recently, he has noticed that when he starts the car when the engine is cold, the idle fluctuates between 1,200 and 800 rpms. I've been reading directives from GM .They recommend disconnecting the battery on all late model Corvettes (C5 &C6) .This pertains to winter storage. Mine is in storage but we've discussed making a break for Mississippi before winter is over.

Yes if the stock ticker DRYS takes off that will mean a new Corvette for me. The stock is Dry Ships ticker DRYS its 6 dollars a share. At one time it was 80 dollars a share. If it goes up to 80 dollars again that means I will buy a 2010 Corvette. Check out DRYS
