Just curious to what everyones take is on this. I agree with not giving a bailout. If the?Auto?Manufacturers can't?make it I feel they need to reorganize not only for the health of the company but to also compete with the Jap plants here in this country. Whats your take?

The oil pan plug on my small block 6 quart pan leaks. I think it has a rubber or some kind of soft gasket that is stuck to the pan. Any ideas on replacement gaskets to stop the leaking? Can I get them at the local NAPA, KRAGEN, ETC parts stores?

When I removed my sidepipes I noticed the left manifold was difficult to remove. Well, one of the studs was stripped in the manifold and another was just barely holding as one of the tabs was broken off. The guy who did this had to know it and I think for sure it was the guy I bought it from since he put the side...

I am going to remove my sidepipes and just asking if there are any simple tricks to do it. Like, do I need to remove the covers? It looks pretty straight forward but since I have never done it, just wondering! 65 with small block and stock ramshorn 2 1/2". Thanks !

You can buy the WIX oil filters at NAPA auto parts but they are sold under the NAPA name: Napa Gold. If you have a small block, it's Napa Gold 1061.

I am removing my rear end and thought maybe it would be a good idea to replace the u-joints at the same time. Any specific part number and can I get them at your local auto parts store? Better to get the non-lube or regular ones with fittings? Small block yokes. Thanks

I found some Shell Rotella-t Synthetic 5-40wt in gallon containers for $19.99 gal. Since may SHP motor takes 6 quarts, I need 2 gallons or 3 gallons for 2 oil changes. So how long is it good for on the shelf?storage?
